We have a Restriction configuration profile in place for Yosemite to 'Restrict App Store to Software Updates Only". Works great, no issues.



Applied the same config profile to El Cap, 10.11.6, which we are about to roll out across the board. The restriction works fine...until you change the region using the menu at the bottom right of the Updates tab (flag icon). If someone selects any other region beside USA the restriction stops working until the App Store is quit and re-launched. But, changing the region again produces same results, full App Store access until quit.



Has anyone ran into this? Know of a way to force the restriction no matter the region choice/change?

Found out from our JAMF rep. that this is a known issue that they are tracking with Apple.



"Thank you for the information. We do have a product issue for this, and have an Apple radar filed as well.



You can use our product issue number to track (PI-002874), but if you do have an Apple rep, we would recommend reaching out to them as well.



Currently we do not have a work around to prevent changing the region, and do not have a time table for a release version."
