I have a piece of software that I'd like to offer up for installation
by my users via Self Service. However, for political and
shifting-enrollment reasons, I CANNOT necessarily just create a
group/smart group of machines to which to apply the policy, which is
the normal way I limit who can install what software packages.
To that end, is there any way to password-protect a Self Service
installation policy, so that all machines would be allowed to see the
installer but would be prompted for a particular password before being
able to actually install the software.
Or is there another way to manage this task?
Thanks,
