There are known issues with PGP WDE and the latest Security update for Snow Leopard (10.6.5) from Apple. See: https://pgp.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2288

Thought it would be good to share with the community.

Just an FYI, PGP updated a workaround for this fix as well as an updated resolution:

I'll be attempting to create a policy to manually install 10.6.5 using those instructions.

I had to do this on an "affected" machine this morning and it really was relatively painless.

Hope this helps anyone running PGP,

I've only tested this using remote but I'm going to create a policy soon that will target a smart group of computers running 10.6.x: I downloaded the 10.6.5 combo update and extracted the pkg from the dmg. I uploaded the pkg and the pgp script through casper admin.

The policy will run the installer and then the script after. I'll have a popup prompt that will tell them to reboot ASAP. I've tested this via Casper Remote on 2 machines and have shown success. As time warrants I'll be creating a policy to my test group and testing that soon.

Let me know if you have any issues with this.

Thanks,
Noah
