Hi guys,

im playing around with the new app device assignments in iOS 9 and Casper 9.81. Today i was wondering how the JSS counts up the used VPP licenses.

My initial plan was to buy lets say 10 Coachs Eye licenses for some teachers but i would like to add it to Self Service for everyone to see (90 teachers). I expected the license counter to go up after a teacher actually installs the app, but it seems the JSS counts up the license even if the app isn't installed on the device.

Is this behavior expected? Any opinions how to solve this?

Best,
Frank

Yes, because JSS counts the license as used if it's assigned to the device, and not whether the user actually installs the app or not. Same if the apps are assigned to users via Apple ID.
