8.0 upgrade - AFP home dir mount issue

I'm probably in the minority, but if you use Casper for AD binding to mount home directories via AFP & use managed preferences, the upgrade to 8.0 breaks the mounting of home directories. It only breaks the mounting if you use managed preferences in JAMF (similar issue existed going from 7.2 to 7.3, fixed in 7.31). They are aware and working on a fix (fingers crossed), but just wanted to send a heads up in case anyone else was thinking of upgrading who uses AFP mounting + managed prefs. Will report back when it's fixed.

I hate to revive an ancient post, but we are seeing home directory mount failures on our Lion lab machines that were bound to AD with Casper and use managed prefs (also from the JSS).

Are you aware of the technical specifics of why this occurs? Perhaps this bug was reintroduced in 8.6?
