Cisco AnyConnect VPN not Quitting for Os upgrade

Hello Everyone,

We are working on getting Big Sur Upgrade done on our devices and looking at the size of the Big Sur Os upgrade we thought of using the Mac App Store to deploy the upgrade to the end-user devices.
But due to the nature of how we are set up with always-on VPN using Cisco Anyconnect, we are seeing an error when the os upgrade started and it's not letting the Cisco Anyconnect kill for the Os upgrade to start.
We did open up a ticket with Cisco but as usual, they have no clue and are saying due to the always-on nature of the application it's not possible to kill the application.

Has anyone else seen this issue and is there another way to mitigate this issue.

Looks like no one is using cisco VPN with always on.
