DEP and the new MacBook Airs

Hello everybody!

Of all the new MB Airs that we receive at our university, 95% of them are very stubborn and don't want to go thru the DEP process. They go thru the setup process like a regular Apple Store bought Mac.
If we restart in the System Restore, activate root with

chroot /Volumes/Macintosh HD
touch /var/db/.RunLanguageChooserToo

Restart again and run

profiles renew -type enrollment

…then they go thru the DEP process and everything works according to plan.
But that's a pain and a waste of time.

All the other Macs are working just fine. No issues. Only the Airs.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a solution to the problem - so that they work out of the box?

Thank you kindly!

We had an issue a couple of weeks ago due to the APNS issue that Jamf was experiencing. Since then, we've deployed 4 new MBA's, and 3 of them ran automated setup properly. One did not - the user said he got an error at the Remote Management screen that it couldnt connect to the server, so he rebooted.
