Am I way out of line in my thinking here? I appreciate any help anyone can give.
P.S. - I know that some may say to just disable the CD drive but that is not an option as they use it for movies, music, software, etc.

Maybe you could just script the erasure of the contents of their Music folder.
That way, even if they import, it will be deleted. Then they will get sick of fighting the system.

You could use Lingon (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/19879/lingon
) which is a graphical user interface for creating and editing launchd
configuration files. Launchd has a "watchpath" function. Perhaps you
could have it delete music once it detects imports from iTunes, along
the lines of the suggestion from Peter.
