Bonjour,

If you're only adding /Applications/MyApp.app then you should try just dragging the app itself into the left-hand column of the Composer window. That will create a new package containing only the app and avoid any of the other cruft the snapshot option might include.

If you drag and drop the application into the left sidebar of Composer it should create a new Composer project with only that application. It's best if you drag the application from the same location you want it to be installed in on the destination (i.e. the Applications folder). Don't drag it from a disk image you just downloaded and mounted. Make sure to change the ownership and permissions as well.

Hi,

With Jamf Composer, we have the following bug: The disk space required for a package requires 107 GB while the package is 155 MB in size [As seen on screenshots in the original message].

The package was made with Jamf Composer 11.15.0 on macOS 15.4.1.

How was the image created with Composer? You need to double-check what's included in the package. I only do a capture when there's something 'odd' getting installed and I'm not sure what and where stuff is getting installed.

Hi,

The package was created with the method "New & Modified Snapshot".

Then i pay attention to have only selected my app /Applictions/MyApp.app

If you create a package with a snapshot, it will include all files that were changed in the time window that was used for the snapshot, even if the files have nothing to do with what you were installing.

Snapshots are good to see what a package you run modifies, but if you want to use a snapshot to build a package you need to look over everything in the package and remove what is not necessary.
