macadmins.software site down?

Hi all,

I was wondering if I'm the only one no longer able to load the https://macadmins.software/ site that was previously hosted by Microsoft? When I go there now from any device I get a GoDaddy page, so it looks like they didn't renew the site hosting perhaps? I used this site all the time to get the most recent packages for Microsoft software.

Is everyone else seeing the same thing as me? If so, has anyone heard anything about this, if this will be coming back or if that's it? I know for a while now while the links all pointed to the most recent versions of software, the version numbers listed on the site were stuck on some old version from many months back, but it was still working to download the most current releases as early as this month.

Paul Bowden was the person that ran that site. He has been out on medical leave and apparently the payment wasn’t made to renew the site. I tried contacting GoDaddy to try and pay the hosting fee on Paul’s behalf but GoDaddy wouldn’t cooperate and allow me to pay the renewal. I think some folks on the MacAdmins site are looking at reviving the site at some point but I don’t know specifics. But some of the links have been pinned to the microsoft-office channel on the MacAdmins site.

Been discussed quite a bit on the MacAdmins Slack; the links imbedded in the site still work, and one user was able to grab them and PIN them. In case anyone needs them, here they are:

Hi there! You're not alone in experiencing this issue. The macadmins.software site, which was maintained by Paul Bowden from Microsoft, is currently down because the hosting fees weren't renewed. Paul has been on medical leave, and unfortunately, GoDaddy wouldn't allow anyone else to pay the renewal fee on his behalf.

There are discussions within the community about possibly reviving the site, but nothing concrete has been decided yet. In the meantime, some of the links have been moved to the MacAdmins Slack channel, and you can also find the latest Microsoft Office updates directly on Microsoft's official website.

I hope this helps!

It seems the site might be undergoing changes or maintenance. Hopefully, it will be back soon with updated features!

Thanks for the update @mpermann and @Jason33, that makes sense now. Especially thanks for the list of links to the downloads. Those will be handy for now. Hopefully the site comes back at some point since it was a useful resource.

I also hope @pbowden is doing ok.

Good to know.  I figured that was the reason as I knew the person maintaining it was out on medical leave.  I've been using Wayback Machine to access a cached version of the page as it hasn't changed since December 13, 2023.  Here's the link to the version I've been using:
