Curious what everyone is doing to prepare for macOS 10.16, when the profiles
command goes away?
Are you using profiles
to address APNS performance (or race) conditions, like to get 802.1x profiles in place early in the provisioning process, etc?
Have you started to migrate your packaged Configuration Profiles into MDM Configuration Profiles yet? Run into any gotchas?
macOS 10.16 is months away, just wanted to get your thoughts.
TIA,
Don

Not sure if I am in the minority here or not, but all of my profiles are already MDM. i use a script as part of my prestage package to drop a preferences domain file on the fly for nomad login to configure it to get around any type of race condition in enrollment.

@hdsreid makes sense...Apple confirmed if there is a manual profile installed, and then an MDM profile gets installed, where both are setting the same things, the MDM profile wins. So slipstreaming MDM profiles to replace manual profiles and then removing the manual profiles seems like a logical/supported workflow. Like you said, race conditions require the workaround.

I wonder will this Profile command deprecation affect JAMF enrollment in anyway ?
