We've been pushing out a script that recreates the hidden admin
account. The script is working, some computers show the account
exists, some show it didn't so it's installed.
The problem now, we're not seeing the number of "computers without
hidden account" saved search results dropping. I spot checked some of
the computes in the search result, and found that JSS is reporting the
account missing despite the account being present. I can SSH to the
box using the hidden account and it's home dir exists in /var with
proper sub-500 UID.
We have Inventory Options set to look for hidden accounts. So searches
for the account should find visible/hidden accounts. But search result
still shows the account is missing on those computers when it's not.
PS, I know...upgrade to 7.21 and use Extension Attributes to do a
*real* search for the account...we can't upgrade yet. :(
