Tweakboxapp

Hi Everyone - if you haven't seen it yet, look at tweakboxapp.com - goes to the twitter feed of the creator. It's an app that one of our no-app-store students found, and allows him to download the app from the site, then install any app he wants. Yeehaw.

If anyone's successfully blocked this before that would be great to know.

Merci!

i'm not really thrilled with installing that app to find out how to block it (it installs a .mobileconfig file to get the application).
You might want to see if you can blacklist that site at a network level (firewall, proxy, whatever)...

if you can't get it blacklisted at the network level, you can always change the DNS for tweakboxapp.com vi either /etc/hosts or a dns resolver file so that it points to 127.0.0.1 (or if you are mean, something like sadtrombone.com)
or
push out a config profile with casper that sets that URL to be denied via parental controls

If you block the ability for students to install configuration profiles this app is unusable.
