Ubuntu 14 to 16 Upgrade

With JAMF PRO 10 coming out I figured this would be a good time to go from Ubuntu 14LTS to 16LTS. Would it be better to build a new VM and copy over the database or just upgrade the current sever to 16? Looks like its pretty easy to just upgrade the current server but wondering if it would be cleaner and better to build another server.

My preference is to start with a fresh environment.

I use it as a good test of my run book for rebuilding the JSS in event of failure.

be aware of this little minor annoyance, also applicable to Ubuntu :
