Hello!
We are just starting to look at managing OS X with Casper. My question is: What and where is the Casper client that I install on the Macs? I looked thru to docs and didn't see any mention of it.

The JAMF binary is installed outside of the standard HD volume. This allows it to do what it does best and manage the computer. If you open a terminal session and type "jamf -help" you'll see a list of verbs you can use with the binary if it exists on the box.
I know that doesn't actually answer the question of where, but hopefully it helps with the what.

Page 179 of the Casper admin PDF covers "QuickAdd" (the Casper agent installer).

If you already know an admin name and password for your machines and if SSH is enabled on them then you can use Recon to add your machines to your JSS. This will also get the JAMF binary installed on your machines.
