Client Systems Administrator - Full time w benefits, Philadelphia area

Lower Merion School District Information Systems Department is seeking candidates for a client system administrator position.  The successful candidate will conduct the day-to-day administrative and management activities associated with client systems administration to include but not limited to the following: client mobile devices, client computers, other client systems, and services that support client computing.



  • Three to five years of work experience with hands on management of Mac (Jamf Pro preferred) and Windows endpoint management systems (Altiris, SCCM, Workspace ONE, Intune, etc).
  • Experience in creating, documenting, and supporting lifecycle workflows for macOS, Chrome OS, iOS, and Windows devices including provisioning (or imaging), software deployment, patching, and retirement.
  • Create and maintain group policies (Windows) and configuration profiles (macOS/iOS) per best practices from app vendors, CIS security baselines and others to support the District's needs in consultation with security, network, and server administrators.
  • Ability to package applications & deploy scripts to meet deployment and security needs.
  • Expert in Google Workspace administration including Chrome OS policy management, 3rd party app integration, extension deployment & configuration.
  • Strong Excel skills in support of asset management, budgeting, inventory, and device distribution.
  • Familiarity supporting web content filter a plus.
  • Tenacious desire to troubleshoot to find solutions for a wide range of escalated issues.
  • Previous helpdesk experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and documentation skills.
  • Curious, detail oriented, and self-motivated with an innate desire to fix and optimize systems in collaboration with other department members to ensure highly reliable and functional systems.
  • Technology industry certification preferred such as Jamf Certifications, A+, etc.
