Job Description

The IT Specialist is responsible for providing Tier I-II technology support to all end users. This candidate will work across all school divisions (PreK-12) to support and maintain all existing technologies, including our 1:1 student iPad program and faculty MacBooks (approx. 1500 devices), while assisting in the implementation & training of new solutions as they are adopted. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the IT Manager with supporting all CAK needs and initiatives related to IT, Educational Technology, Data Management, Data Security, Data Privacy, Risk Management, Communications Systems, and other related topics. These responsibilities can vary as needed. Strong problem-solving and project management skills are necessary. Critical thinking and customer service communications are critical.

Responsibilities

Technology
• Administration and support of our 1:1 student iPad program
• Management of JAMF MDM software
• Faculty & Staff device administration and support
• Network and Communications administration and support
• Infrastructure administration and support
• Classroom Technology setup and support
• Timely response to, and resolution of, helpdesk tickets, ensuring all technologies are running smoothly

Professional Growth and Development
• Attend and participate in professional conferences, lectures or other educational events
• Attain membership in appropriate organizations
• Keep current on educational/business issues through research and study
• Grow in walk and relationship with God
• Compliant with CAK value and faith statements

Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of all modern Desktop, Server, and Mobile Operating Systems
• Working knowledge of IPv4 based Networking
• Proficiency with Office 365 and Google Workspace for Education administration
• JAMF 100 Certification (minimum) or ability and willingness to obtain certification
• Ability to comprehend and execute complex technological directives
• Strong work ethic, critical thinking, creativity, and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to quality customer service while maintaining a high-level of professionalism
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Self-learner, motivated to master new technologies and demonstrate an aptitude and desire for continual professional development in technology is important
• Experience in an educational environment a plus
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is preferred
• May be exposed to sensitive and confidential information which must be handled appropriately
