Anyone else notice the sheet for Airplay on iPad running iOS 8 is very
short? It lists maybe 2-3 sources, whereas on iOS 7, the sheet would
extend almost to the top of the display. We've got 15-30 sources per
building at any given time and it's frust...
Heyo, Thought I'd post some positive news for anyone who was interested.
We're running Casper Suite 9.4 on a mac mini server (10.9.4) and
currently have several restriction profiles out to students, as well as
some webclips and a global HTTP proxy (s...
I'm trying to send a remote script to a set of student laptops through a
policy and I'm having some trouble. I assume it's something to do with
the management account is the admin and the account we want to alter is
the student account (and a standar...
We created our Restriction profile for devices running 6.1.3, loaded it
up all summer on 400 iPads. School year starts, got some new students
meaning we need to supervise new devices, meaning we have to put 7.0.2
on them (Thanks Apple). We're loading...
This was discussed a new feature in the 9.11 release notes. Can anyone
tell me what it is? This seems useful, but is worded vaguely. Mobile
device extension attributes—You can create extension attributes to
collect almost any type of data from mobi...
Can't help you with the mac setup but we just switched from Smoothwall
to Securly for iPads. It's been very smooth so far, and pretty easy. You
can't get super nitty gritty (sometimes it was nice seeing the live
URL's a specific device was loading so...
well I just ran the system readiness check and I had green check boxes
on either the 10.6 or 10.10 servers, so who knows. I still can't load
the test though and I think it has something to do with that cert... We
use Smoothwall for our internal l and...
@JayDuff thanks, that worked! Now to figure out why when we enable a TSM
in the Device Toolkit to use caching, it fails to load a sample test on
the iPad, but when we leave everything unchecked, it runs fine. All the
traffic is whitelisted in our fir...
@JayDuff I've tried loading this managed config multiple times with the
everything in between the tags and it crashes the app whether
it's loaded as in-house or vpp Here's a screenshot of the settings
Here's the crashing in a screen capture Any idea...
@Dickson Not for iOS devices, no. You could setup an EA for Macs, but
iOS is limited by what Apple lets JAMF use/see. We're on iOS 9 and Apple
has never let us manage SSID history even locally on the device (like
forget a network you're not nearby or...
