I am seeing lots of conflicting methods for naming MacOS devices that are pre-stage enrolled using DEP.
Is there easy, tested method for doing this?
A simple script for allowing this to happen on first boot would be fantastic.
DeployStudio has a workflow component that allows you to do it, something similar to that would be fantastic.

+10You could create a policy that runs on the Enrollment Trigger. In that policy have a script that names your Mac device. You would have to script the logic but it's fairly simple.
