I've been tasked with setting up a few iPads that are locked down to only show a single PDF. So far I've been able to preload the PDF onto a test iPad through Jamf and have it appear in the library of the Books app. I can then set the Books app to single-app mode. Problem is, the additional tabs at the bottom of the app (Reading Now, Book Store, etc.) are still accessible.
Has anyone had to set up an iPad in this way? Any idea if it's possible to disable access to everything inside Books except the Library tab? Alternatively, is there a recommended 3rd-party app for viewing PDFs that can be sufficiently locked down (and still be able to open a file that Jamf pushes to the device)?
