We're looking for a Jamf Expert to take lead on clients' cloud-hosted Jamf Pro environments. Clients range from schools and non-profits to SMB and Enterprise companies.

Responsibilities:

You will work as part of a team that creates the best-in-class Jamf environments. Depending on your skillset and passion, you may do any (or all) of the following:

Projects

  • Lead update meetings with client stakeholders about the progress of time sensitive projects
  • Lead whiteboard sessions about the technical aspects of a specific project
  • Collaborate with our team to build an incredible Jamf Pro server that brings clients to a Rocketman Approved state
  • Implement change management procedures

Maintenance

  • Provide Tier 3 support for Jamf Pro
  • Provide Escalated Tier 2 support for select clients
  • Collaborate with the client’s Help Desk to automate solutions and create quick fixes in Self Service for common user issues
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders to ensure all their needs are met
  • Proactively maintain client’s servers based on macOS and Jamf updates
  • Build custom scripts and solutions to aid in managing all our client’s environments
  • Collaborate with other Rocketman engineers to develop elegant solutions for complex issues 

The Jamf Toolkit

  • Help maintain the new product Rocketman is launching, the Jamf Toolkit
  • Maintain multiple versions of macOS including betas for testing
  • Create new solutions for Mac Admins to add to the Jamf Toolkit

Other

  • Lead monthly Mac Admin meetups
  • Blog on the latest Jamf updates
  • Create YouTube videos on the latest Jamf updates
  • Present at JNUC and other conferences

Required Qualifications:

  • Jamf 300 certification
  • Bash scripting experience
  • Jamf API Experience
  • Knowing Jamf Pro inside and out, including: Jamf Connect, Jamf Protect, Jamf Infrastructure Manager, Jamf ADCS Connect, Jamf Integrations with SSO, LDAP, Could Identity Providers and SMTP
  • Up to date knowledge of latest Apple best practices
  • Self starters will thrive. This remote role is designed to have significant autonomy once trained. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally with organizations.
  • Strong Internet capabilities and a controlled work space for video conferencing both internally and externally 
  • Comfortable with ‘Work From Home’ remote etiquette such as managing noise and backdrops during Zoom calls, and collaboration using Slack and G Suite, etc. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Jamf 400 certification
  • Python experience
  • Apple-scripting experience a plus
  • Okta experience a plus
