I have a MacBook that is listed in an inactive state, but it has the device management certs. I tried unassigning/reassigning it in ASM. I don’t want to, but is the only option to reset the device?
On a related note: when I erased another device, my understanding was that it was like the on-device reset command, but it deleted the OS. I also thought there was a “return to service” command”. It did not. Instead it asked me to create a PIN, which I don’t remember it doing before..
