We are currently looking to fill the following role with our direct client in the Media/Entertainment industry in Los Angeles.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Senior Mac Support Engineer, you’re the go-to person for all things JAMF and Apple-related, including Apple/Mac integration, strategy, JAMF administration and governance. You will be responsible for machine builds using JAMF, server/service maintenance, implementation and road-mapping of new Apple-aligned solutions and products as well as the creation of supporting documentation for troubleshooting, maintenance procedures and tool usage for the entire Apple/Mac environment.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and expand the current implementation of our JAMF Infrastructure

  • Manage JAMF Self-Service library

  • Engineer, test, deploy and manage corporate image for all Mac OSX devices via JAMF

  • Test and validate new Apple hardware

  • Provide support for imaging and troubleshooting all new Mac computer deployments

  • Manage patching cycles and client application upgrades

  • Package applications for software deployment to Mac devices

  • Script to automate administration tasks on all Mac devices

  • Create and manage policies for all Mac device administration

  • Manage Apple Device Enrollment Program (DEP / ABM - Apple Business Manager) for Issued devices

  • Manage Volume Purchase Program (VPP) for purchased software orders

  • Effectively document, communicate procedures, and actively train downstream support teams

  • Coordinate with Procurement and Purchasing teams to approve and implement new software orders and bulk licenses.

  • MDM management including configuration profiles to manage all active issued Apple devices, (MacOS and iOS) while concentrating on current industry-led security protocols and standards

  • Provide Level 4 Mac troubleshooting and support for employees worldwide

  • Migrate devices and policies from existing JAMF environments to a current JAMF cloud instance

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Experience with Jamf Pro / Jamf Cloud

  • Experience with Mac to Active Directory integration

  • Experience implementing Macs in an enterprise environment

  • Experience with Okta and JAMF Connect

  • Experience with JAMF Composer to create deployable JAMF packages

  • Bash / Shell scripting skills

  • Broad technical experience and understanding of having a multi-operating system environment

  • Broad understanding and troubleshooting skills to support of MacOS and iOS in an enterprise environment

  • Must be able to work independently and as a team member

  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and require little to no supervision

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER

  • Current JAMF certifications showing completion of an advanced curriculum

  • Apple Certifications (ACMT, ASCP, ACTC, ACSA, etc)

  • Scripting in Python
