System Engineer MacBook & Print - KBC Bank & Verzekering

We are looking for extra colleague(s), if you are interested but want to know more about the job, don't hesitate and contact me.

What does this job entail?

KBC workstations consist of state-of-the-art communication and collaboration platforms, personal productivity tools and applications developed in-house. This is how we ensure that every KBC employee can work (together) smoothly. That's why we're looking for a System Engineer with a focus on our Apple MacBook workplace. Does that sound like music in your airpods? Then this job is for you!
Our Apple MacBook workspace is used for internal software development. It's your job to make sure everything runs smoothly. As a System Engineer, you are also responsible for the back-end infrastructure of the KBC printers and multifunctional devices: you ensure their central management - such as configuration, drivers and firmware - and you are responsible for the software required for secure printing.

What do we expect from you?

As a System Engineer MacBook & Print

  • You strengthen and improve the management of our MacBook Endpoints. In this way, you help build our KBC MacBook Developer Endpoint, which in terms of security and manageability is state of the art, just like the standard Windows Endpoint.
  • You will help streamline the development processes and ensure that they fit in with KBC's risk appetite.
  • You will be responsible for large and small adjustments in the daily management of our MacBook and Print environment.
  • You look for the root cause of problems. To do this, you will occasionally delve into the log files of servers and systems.
  • You think along with architects and analysts about the improvement of our platforms. You make existing processes better, prevent problems and avoid risks.

Your key strengths?

  • You have relevant expertise in or knowledge of the MacBook platform or printer infrastructure, both in terms of operating and security. Experience with security tools for detection and analysis, or management and setup of endpoint management environments is a strong plus!
  • You have a nose for IT cybersecurity risks and trends. You know better than anyone how to recognize them and how to prevent them. You have general knowledge of cyber-attack techniques and data leak mechanisms in particular.
  • You know enough about IT to share knowledge with the system administrators in almost all KBC IT domains. You have a broad view on IT operating systems & middleware and networks.
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch or English and you adapt your language use to your conversation partners. You are self-confident and can take the lead in creating and implementing new services.
  • Thanks to your logical and analytical thinking you can easily understand problems, analyze incidents and suggest improvements.
  • You are a team player and believe in our motto 'Security is everybody's job'.

What can we offer you?

  • You will join a highly professional (Agile) team, with passionate colleagues. An ideal environment for cross-pollination of knowledge and experience.
  • We offer you an exceptional range of training and development opportunities so that you can develop your full potential. You are encouraged to keep growing as a person and professionally.
  • You will receive a permanent contract with a competitive salary, including an extensive package of additional benefits.
  • Our offices are easily accessible by public transport. You can also work partly from home if you like, even when the covid-related regulations are no longer in place.
  • We value a good balance between your work and private life.

Can you help us make the difference?
