**Update regarding NFL and minor cleanup as of May 20, 2025**

Hey Jamf Nation! JNUC 2025 is coming up at the Colorado Convention Center, and it’s time to start planning your Colorado adventure. Many of us are traveling from afar (I’m from Canada!), so I’ve compiled a list of fun activities to make the most of your trip. Locals, please chime in with your insider tips!

JNUC Highlights:

  • JNUC Party: The Wednesday bash is always a blast—think music, food, and networking. Don’t miss it!
  • Vendor Parties: Free drinks, finger food, and epic giveaways (someone won an Apple Vision Pro last year!).
  • Jamf Heroes: Not sure about 2025 plans, but check Jamf Nation for updates on this exclusive meetup.
  • JNUC Info: JNUC 2025 Homepage | JNUC Overview

Sports:

  • Colorado Avalanche (NHL): I’m hoping to catch a game at Ball Arena! The 2025-2026 schedule drops in June/July. Check NHL.com or BallArena.com.
  • Denver Broncos (NFL): Denver Broncos play in Philadelphia on Oct 5th, so no games. See NFL.com.
  • Colorado Rockies (MLB): Playoff games at Coors Field possible if they qualify. Check MLB.com.
  • Denver Nuggets (NBA): Season starts October 21st, so no games. See NBA.com.
  • Colorado Rapids (MLS): Games may fall before/after JNUC. Check MLSSoccer.com.
  • Colorado Mammoth (Lacrosse): Starts November, so no games.

Attractions:

  • Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park: Open Sundays and Fridays during JNUC week, with 54 rides (Sidewinder under maintenance). Expect fireworks, movie nights, and adult water park parties. Accessible via light rail. ElitchGardens.com
  • Denver CityPASS: Saves on attractions like the Aquarium, Wings Over the Rockies, and Zoo. Check CityPASS.com.
  • Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum: Historic aircraft and simulators. Free days for locals (Jan 11, Feb 8). WingsMuseum.org
  • Denver Union Station: Historic hub with dining (try Snooze!) and shops. Great for a quick bite. DenverUnionStation.com
  • Denver Zoo: 600+ species in City Park. Book online. DenverZoo.org
  • Downtown Aquarium: Unique exhibits like tigers! Part of CityPASS. AquariumRestaurants.com
  • Bus Tours: Try the Denver Highlights Tour for a 3-hour city overview. DiscoverDenverTours.com
  • Shopping: 16th Street Mall (1.7 miles, 300+ stores) and Larimer Square for boutiques. 16thStreetMall.com | LarimerSquare.com
  • More to Explore: Denver Botanic Gardens DenverBotanicGardens.org, Red Rocks Amphitheatre RedRocksOnline.com, Denver Museum of Nature & Science DMNS.org.

Tips:

  • Light Rail: Use RTD’s light rail for easy access to Ball Arena, Elitch Gardens, and more. Buy tickets via the RTD app.
  • Weather: Pack layers for fall (50-70°F or 10-21°C, possible rain/snow).
  • Dining: LoDo has great spots like Rioja and Wynkoop Brewing. See Denver.org.
  • Events: Check Denver.org/events for festivals or concerts.

What else should we add? Locals, share your favorite spots! For more ideas, see Denver.org and 303Magazine.com.

Colorado Avalance vs. Utah Mammoth for NHL game.

Ticket information on Ticket Master and go on sale tomorrow (July 17th, 2025).

I can’t seem to update my initial post so unless something changes any new information will need a new post.  I can edit this post though so not sure why I can’t edit my older posts.

Very useful. Thank you! We’re flying out a couple days early to visit Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains. Will have to explore Denver as well and happy to say we already have reservations for Casa Bonita! 🎉

I haven’t heard of any vendor parties yet.  Interested in those too.  Will summarize above if I heard of anything.

Here’s a couple more things to add:

Vendor Party: Rockmantech LaunchPad Game Night
When: Tues, October 7th @ 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Prize draw @ 7pm

Meow Wolf Denver
Convergence Station is Meow Wolf’s immersive Denver experience, part art exhibition, part narrative playground, and entirely otherworldly. Featuring over 70 interactive installations across four surreal worlds, it blends storytelling, exploration, and local artistry into one of the most unforgettable things to do in Denver.  Takes about 2-3 hours to get through I’ve read.

I can’t seem to edit my main post above so you’ll have to look for new posts for added info.

I have a cousin who lives in Denver and asked him for recommendations of things to do and see. I thought it would might be helpful to others. I have taken tours of the capital buildings in Austin and Nashville and plan to go see the Colorado capital building sometime during the week. I hope jamf continues the trend of using state capitals to host. :)

Sam’s No. 3 has awesome breakfasts, burritos, and green chili. Dairy Block has some great spots as does Union Station area. Larimer Square has some really good places to eat. A little further out, but the whole RiNo (River North) neighborhood on Blake St, Walnut St, and Larimer St has some really good food, cool shops, breweries, etc. including Denver Central Market.

The 16th Street Mall has been undergoing revitalization. I haven’t been over there for a long time and it used to be a number of chain restaurants, but it was an interesting place to walk and see.

The Cherry Creek trail, just to the west of the convention center. Is a great place to walk/run and bike if you rent one.

The US Mint is pretty cool to see. They schedule tours of the place.

Denver has a bunch of cool art and natural history museums. A little south of the convention center in the Golden Triangle neighborhood.

Denver also has some great parks like Washington Park (Wash Park), Cheesman, and City Park. The Botanic Gardens are great. All good places to walk.

If you want to get out of the city and be on some trails or see Red Rocks Amphitheater I also highly recommend that. A little more planning without a car but I’d think easy enough to do with Lyft or Uber. In addition to Red Rocks, Green Mountain or the Tables (North or South Table) have some very accessible trails with great views of the front range and Denver. Golden is also a really awesome Main Street and place to hang out.

Some of my favorites.
