Adobe Reader XI non-DC

You'll probably find that JAMF controls what is considered the latest version - it might be up to them, but not sure.

Just checked - 11.0.10 was released in 2014, and definitely wouldn't want to be classified as the latest version - it's 10 updates behind. JAMF is correct - the latest is 11.0.19 for sure as of 2/6/17

My understanding is that there is no ability to change the Patch Reporting versions, at this time.

While I am actively working to rid our fleet of Adobe Reader 11, this recipe has worked to grab the newest 11.0.19

Odd, I got to the "otherversions" page by clicking the "Do you have a different language or operating system" link from the main https://get.adobe.com/reader/ page.

I see that this devnet link does show additional versions, but the links are to an ftp server that requires authentication.

I have signed up for the enterprise redistribution and the link given ( http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise ) also only shows the 11.0.10 as being the download available.

Seems strange that none of the accessible links from Adobe make anything newer than 11.0.10 available. And I see that when I download this DMG that the installer PKG file is dated from December 3, 2014. As you state, not very current.

Ok, more digging and I found my email from Adobe with all of my redistribution links. in that email was a link for Adobe Reader Updates (http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ ) and at this site, if I go to the link for Reader DC for Mac I now see a link to download 11.0.19, though it is listed under the Reader DC series. So, apparently, 11.0.19 is not available as a "full installer" but only as an "updater".

They sure don't want to make this easy, do they? I get that DC is the way of the future, but we ran into many issues with some of our curriculum when we installed that last year. At least I have the 11.0.19 updater now. Now to test to see if this only works as an updater, or whether it can be used on a clean system to do the initial install.

11.0.19 only works as an updater and is only 325 MB

The full Adobe Acrobat XI comes in at a heftier 976 MB. Mine is dated 7/5/16, but was originally released in 2012.

@musat as you found out and as @SGill beat me to it, 11.0.19 is an updater only.
So capture/import/push out 11.0.10 and then import/push out the update.
It's an extra step but yeah, that's what Adobe decided to do.

It really bit me during the .14 and .15 updates as the deployment was breaking for me on new machines and I couldn't figure out why.
It was during that time, that I was cleaning up some deployments and removed .10, .11, .12, and .13, thinking the new installers were full installers as well. But, of course, they weren't.
