+18has anybody had luck packaging FCP studio on Lion with composer? is it possible?
I installed, updated, and then ran the package generation for installed software, and when i install i get an error launching all the apps, was hoping to get a serial number prompt.
+3I did a snapshot and it works ok... make sure you only delete the ProAppsSystemID and the Final Cut System ID.
Should work fine.
+36I know Final Cut Pro Studio is discontinued, but we have a good number of licenses that we plan to reprovision (individual licenses). Is there a paper on packaging/deploying this?
PS, Packaging FCPX was a snap...download but don't launch, then capture and deploy. Done.

+13last time i deployed fcp studio, i used a process similar to this: http://osxdeployment.com/wiki/Final_Cut_Studio_3_and_Munki
details are for prepping the payload for munki, but it looks easily adaptable for casper usage. i'd avoid installing, then snapshotting/repackaging any of it.
i also had a separate pkg install to drop in licensing details, i think.
