I saw another thread where this broke the JSS, thought I'd follow up.

I ran the KB to repair tomcat so I can get to the JSS now, however, I get "Database connection error". I logged into mysql using the jamfsoftware account but no jamf database is found. I just submitted a case to get this worked on but didn't know If anyone else saw this and what they did.

Thanks,

so if you do this:

sudo mysql -u root -p <hit enter and input password>

then do

show databases;

It doesn't show your database?

Not sure how, but after running the 10.6.8 my MySQL database was hosed. We copied over from a backup and had to grant rights to jamfsoftware. Now it’s all up and running.

Thanks to Jamf Support for assisting!
