10.7.2 Netboot

Good Morning,

I am having issue with Netbooting not working. I have tried following the articles on creating a netboot image. I have used Casper Netinstall Creator and the image from the article. I have also used the lion InstallESD.dmg file. I have also used the image I created from the article and used System Image Utility. None of the procedures I have tried have worked. We are getting new machines in that will only work with Lion so I will have to get a Lion Netboot working. I am trying to host this from a Snow Leopard Server and have had no success. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help,

Teddy-

Is your Casper Imaging install going through the OS install process or have you compiled the Lion configuration in Casper Admin? I found I got a lot of issues if I hadn't compiled my install. It's a pain whenever I change anything, but it makes it 100% successful every time.

I've compiled just my base OS.. To alleviate the pain...

But use the method as jared successfully.

Ben.

Good Morning Guys,

I have compiled it and it is still taking a long time. I can use my Snow Leopard Net boot and image a compiled image in about 10 to 15 minutes. Same goes for both Lion and Snow Leopard Images. As soon as I boot into the Lion Net boot it takes forever and yesterday when I timed it was about 3 hours to image. Are ya’ll getting the memory error?

Have a Great Day,
