I'm trying to use the ESD as part of my system build. And though my install seemed to go off without a hitch the first time out - after I'd made some tweaks, I realized that I'd need to do a new build.
At which point the install of the ESD took all of 3 minutes - much faster than the 20 or so minutes that I'd expected.
Turns out, I was a victim of the great Package Apocalypse of 2012. See Greg Neagle's post at the following link: http://managingosx.wordpress.com/2012/03/24/package-apocalypse/
I'm about to run the ESD through the python script that Greg supplied at: http://managingosx.wordpress.com/2012/03/24/fixing-packages-with-expired-signatures/
Will post again if this resolves my issue!
