So,

Anyone running a JSS on 10.7 server? I read it uses postgre instead of MySQL. This doesn't surprise me, but am curious if anyone has migrated. I am leaning towards next roll over (OS ugprades) of ditching OS X Server completely and using Linx with NIS for authentication with NFS Kerberized home folders, and Casper and local MCX and Profiles for client management. Of course I haven't tested this yet, just sort of thinking about it right now. I got a year to test it.

So, if you do run the JSS on a 10.7 server did you install MySQL on there manually, or did you migrate?

thanks, Tom

Interesting. Apple Remote Desktop uses Postgre.
I believe the JSS installer includes MySQL.

The JSS installer does not included mysql. You need to download & install separately.

I meant "the install", the PDF includes instructions on installing
that and Tomcat.
