9.81 - After upgrade 'Log out users after 30 minutes of inactivity' automatically checked

Warning, if you have a Configuration Profile with a Login Window payload, the Log out users after x minutes of inactivity will be checked automatically after the upgrade.

This was disruptive in our environment as it took us a day to figure out why we would be logged out after locking our screens and going to lunch...

That happened with 9.8 and was sort of documented in the release notes.

Is there any way to turn this off via script?

If it's a profile setting then you update the profile and push it out to all clients. There shouldn't be any scripting involved.

Yes, its an easy fix, just uncheck the box in the Profile and push out to all clients. As long as you do it immediately after the upgrade shouldn't be a problem. Looks like there is a defect now for it as well: D-009686
