I know that when AD accounts login to the Mac for the first time, the network home folder has to be perfect - permissions, network home folder path completeness, etc. I've tried educating our AD admins about this but they still don't seem to get it. Is there an article out there that explains all the boxes that need to be checked for proper AD account creation so they work with Macs?

I primarily use mobile home directories cached on the local machine for that reason. Not ideal but it works better for us.
