So the thread isn't completely useless:

On the Flash Player download page (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/), there's a "Are you an IT manager or OEM?" link. Click that to gain access to downloadable native pkg files for simpler distribution (no Composer, etc, just drop the pkg into Casper Admin).
