App Store Apps Description changed to null

All of our apps setup to deploy (via VPP) are showing their descriptions as 'null' - where as they used to match the official "App Store" descriptions.

The last time I checked these was prior to the 9.96->9.97 update (that was done on our JAMFCloud instance on 12/16).

Am I missing something or is there something wrong?

@aandersen I have a defect number of D-010002 that I am tracking related to the problem you are seeing. You might want to contact your TAM about it and see what they have to say.

@mpermann Thank you - I am doing just that.

Looks like the only workaround is to redo the policy and DO NOT CLICK ON THE DESCRIPTION.

Since VPP is driven by MDM, no worries about policy history policy logs to lush.

TAM told us PI-002506 might be related as well?

I have tried reconfiguring the policy, as soon as I hit save the Self Service description changes back to "null"

Same issue here. I've seen this happening for a very long time now.

It's things like this that make us NOT use VPP at all.

We can confirm the "(null)" issue comes back after some time passes.

We plan to ask Jamf about the status of this issue on an upcoming call.

Just to circle around...seeing this on non-VPP free App Store apps with Jamf Pro 10.2.2.
Any word on this? Very annoying to say the least.
FWIW, it's Microsoft One Drive today that's not working...

It’s still a problem with 9.101.4.

VPP via Self Service is overrated.

So, the work-around, which isn't great, is to do this (Jamf Pro Cloud 10.2.2.xx):
Settings >> Computer Management >> App Updates:

Turn this off. Of course you have to keep an eye on things and likely delete/recreate if things get updated, but there it is.

How is this still an issue in 10.19?

How is it an issue to still not be able to update VPP apps automatically?

Just ran into this bug.... even by Jamf's standards, this has been an issue for a very long time.
