I would like to know how people are taking advantage of current infrastructures. In our organization we have many different shares depending on what department you are in and what access you need based on duties. These are all handled by group policies. Our windows environment is able to handle the policies but I am not sure what method I should go about connecting our Mac computers to the users shares and manual is not an option as shares change and it would be a nightmare to keep up to date. We use DFS in our Org and home directories are user name but windows maps it as "home".

Any thoughts? ideas?

I map my via group as per my blog post: http://macmule.com/2011/09/08/how-to-map-drives-printers-based-on-ad-group-membership-on-osx/

How are your GPO's setup? Group or OU?

We use Group Policies so GPOs I am not sure how it could be done with Org units. I will check that link out.
