Best Strategy for OS X Updates

I post here realizing this probably has been addressed many times over, and that there are several ways to do this in the JSS.

Basically want to stop users from upgrading to OS 10.11 El Capitan when it gets released.

Obviously certains apps, etc. can and will break, so we want to avoid this if possible.

Putting the "Install OS X Whatever.app" in restricted software in the JSS has always worked for me. They can download it but can't launch it.

The way we have ours set up, it stops any Major release of a new OS X. Regardless of beta or full. This still allows clients to install minor updates, like 10.10.0 to 10.10.5 etc.

This is exactly what i was looking for. Thanks guys. We do not plan to host our own SUS.
