I there any smart way to prevent users from renaming the computer. They are local admins on the mac´s

I can see some use login window payload, but I then also change the login experience on the computer and only want to disable the renaming option

Anyone has some ideas`?

Sorry if i'm not answering your question.. but indeed It would be nice to have the same as for the IOS Devices

I block the sharing menu with a config profile, that prevents the easy way of renaming. As far as going into terminal and renaming, I'm not sure that you can.

@jwojda Is it the login window payload you use ?

You can also use the "Reset Computername" function under "Maintenance" to reset the Computername daily for example.

I tried reset computer name but as far i Can see the
Name stay the same as set by user

For profile management of this, use the Restrictions Payload and block the Sharing pref pane
