You can by way of a Configuration Profileconfigprofile

Look under 'Parental Controls' > 'Content Filtering' > 'Deny URLs'

This is really the job of a proper firewall, not parental controls on a mac.

We are trying to implement the same thing as well, it is already blocked on our proxy. However we are looking to implement so it blocks the URL when the machine is not connected to the corporate network as well.

I tried the recommendation above but cannot get it to work, has anyone been successful with this and can share how they got it to work?

Thanks

Again I am going to point you at third party tools as the builtin parental controls from apple are severely lacking. We use Cisco's Umbrella DNS client on all our machines and that will handle blocking no matter where the machine is.

Is it possible to block "after hours"? We are distance learning, so kids are at home. I'd like to block youtube after say 3pm until 9am.

Setup a pihole https://pi-hole.net/

It’s a DNS black hole but also supports domain black listing.
