Bluetooth issues with airpods on ipads

We are having issues with our bluetooth not working with the airpods, has anyone else ran into this? and how did you solve?

Might want to make sure that you don't have a configuration profile that is disabling them from modifying bluetooth settings.

Yes we do have that problem...do you know how to correct it?
