Anyone else seeing the Apple model identifiers instead of model names in their JSS?

We're currently seeing these quirks:

  • MacBookPro16,1 instead of MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
  • iPad8,12 instead of iPad Pro 12.9 inch 4th Gen (WiFi+Cellular)

Yep we are also seeing this.

Just found it on the known issues list, at least for the MacBook Pro16,1.
"PI-007758 - Jamf Pro fails to display the value for Model Identifier in computer inventory information for MacBook Pro 16-inch model."

We also had an issue with the 16", the "Model Identifier" would report an iMac but the "Model" would be MacBookPro16,1.
Although I just checked this again and this mismatch seems to be solved, both displaying "MacBookPro16,1" now.

But yes, we still see the "Model Identifier" in the "Model" field for the 16"
