Prior to CS 9, I could type in the first part of a computer name such as:

fs-

And I would get all computers starting with fs-. Now with CS 9, it appears I have to type in the full computer name to show any search results. Same with application searches, Firefox returns no results where Firefox.app does.

You now need to specify a wildcard character, whereas before it assumed a wildcard automatically. So in other words, using your above examples, try:
fs- or Firefox

Hey John,

With Casper Suite 9, searches are based off of a wildcard (*).

Let's try that search like this:

fs-*

Thanks!

Mike

This was really helpful in terms of finding things without a hyphen in them, but if I do a search (say fs-* as in the example), in 9.22, it does not work. However, fs* does. If I search for fs-rm1* to find rooms in the FS building on the first floor, it will not return anything.

Am I missing how the wildcards work? Any help would be appreciated.
