Our trainers sent us a video recording of an issue they are experiencing with Casper Focus on a set of 30 iPads. The video shows two iPads cycling through several apps in a perpetual loop. They said force restarting doesn't resolve the issue.

We'll be visiting tomorrow morning to look further into this issue, but I wanted to ask if anybody else has experienced this and what was done to resolve it. I have temporarily removed that group of iPads from the Focus class. Any other ideas?

I will follow up with more info after we've seen the issue first-hand. Thanks!

Did they unfocus them and try to refocus them? Thank you.

Update - the iPads were stuck in this perpetual loop - it was impossible to manually manipulate the iPads in any fashion. We did try a hard reset, but when it came back up it just resumed the loop. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to really dig into what caused this issue. From what we were told, they attempted to use Casper Focus on the entire group and then got stuck in this loop that didn't allow them to take them out of Focus. While the perpetual loop was ongoing, there was an error message in the middle of the screen in a roughly 2-inch gray block that read:

"Guided Access is unavailable. Please contact your administrator."

They swear that they were using Casper Focus and hadn't done anything with Guided Access at that point. We could not figure anything out immediately, and due to time constraints (they wanted to use them for MAP testing in 2.5 hours) we simply used the JSS to wipe them and start over. An hour later we were back up and running - including setting up guided access. sigh
