When Erase Target drive is selected the actual image is not getting installed to the selected drive. If the option is unchecked the image goes through fine. This is happening on version 9.31. Anyone run into this before?

Sounds like the NetBoot is not mounting "diskless."

Can you wipe the drive via Disk Utility?

Diskless netboot was turned off. Re-enabled and all is good. Thanks bentoms.

@iprice, no worries.

FWIW, I created an app to help automate he NetBoot process & to stop missing those little things.

Need more testers too: https://jamfnation.jamfsoftware.com/discussion.html?id=11356

I'm using a USB boot disk and am experiencing the same problem. Every once in a while it doesn't erase the target drive, which really screws up the rest of the process. Has anyone else been running into this non-Netboot?

The other day I had a tech have it keep doing the erase out of order. It would drop the image and then erase the drive. I couldn't figure out why.

@iJake, I saw that on my CCE when using the JDS.

Are you guys using a JDS?

@bentoms Nope, traditional DPs over SMB. I've never seen it happen for anyone else. It would show properly in Casper imaging but when I looked at the logs you could see it executing out of order.
