Hello everyone!

We have posted Casper Suite 8.63. This release specifically addresses an issue with Restricted Software:

Due to encoding issues in the JSS, the jamf binary was treating special characters as wildcards in restricted software processes. They are now read as literal question mark (?) characters.

You can download 8.63 here:

Thanks!

Can you point me at the documentation that tells me how to do the upgrade? We are running Casper 8.61 on a Windows 2008 server

Instructions for upgrading the JSS are listed within the release notes documentation. This can be found by opening the 8.63 Casper Suite installer that you downloaded or by going to http://www.jamfsoftware.com/resources/documentation and selecting release notes. On page 6 you will see the documentation for upgrading your JSS. In addition to these directions please reference the following JAMF Nation articles that we have posted on jamfnation.com.

aside form the restricted software fix, were there any other changes between 8.62 and 8.63 to watch for?

Anyone run into any issues upgrading JSS from 8.62 > 8.63?

I had to build a JSS today, ran with 8.62 until the dust settles. :)
