I'm working on my training for the year, and I'm trying to type up some good justification for the CCA course. I work for a consulting company, so what I need is transferable skills that will not only help my current customer, but other customers. My current role is pretty limited to using the JSS for the following:

  • To track inventory
  • Create packages for deployment
  • Create config profiles
  • Starting to get in to VPP & DEP

So, to those who have taken the CCA course, what are some good broader knowledge points that you picked up from the class? I have JSS server installs & MySQL server config, but they would like a little more if possible. I'm not looking for just Mac-related skills, as my company isn't all that Mac-focused.

The way I've explained the certifications to my employers in the past are as follows.
- CCT - Teaches you a basic understanding of Jamf Pro and each of its tools
- CCA - Deeper dive into Jamf Pro, ability to create new workflows
- CCE - Can extend the Jamf Pro service beyond its normal boundaries

Hope that helps.
