Hi all,
We're replacing some 12 of our printers at the moment.
We're now distributing our printers via casper. This is all going great.
Except, the printers used to be distributed via WGM & so the machines have multiple queues like:
printer mcx_0 is idle. enabled since Sat 19 Jun 20:07:24 2010
printer mcx_1 is idle. enabled since Mon 21 Jun 12:18:42 2010
printer mcx_10 is idle. enabled since Thu 22 Apr 15:48:21 2010
printer mcx_11 is idle. enabled since Thu 22 Apr 15:48:21 2010
printer mcx_12 is idle. enabled since Thu 22 Apr 15:48:22 2010
printer mcx_13 is idle. enabled since Thu 22 Apr 15:48:22 2010
printer mcx_14 is idle. enabled since Wed 26 May 14:00:43 2010
printer mcx_15 is idle. enabled since Thu 22 Apr 15:48:23 2010
printer mcx_16 is idle. enabled since Thu 22 Apr 15:48:24 2010
printer mcx_17 is idle. enabled since Mon 21 Jun 08:33:10 2010
printer mcx_18 is idle. enabled since Mon 14 Jun 14:41:12 2010
printer mcx_19 is idle. enabled since Mon 14 Jun 14:41:13 2010
printer mcx_2 is idle. enabled since Wed 26 May 14:02:53 2010
printer mcx_3 is idle. enabled since Thu 22 Apr 15:48:18 2010
printer mcx_4 is idle. enabled since Fri 18 Jun 12:08:13 2010
printer mcx_5 is idle. enabled since Wed 19 May 10:13:22 2010
printer mcx_6 is idle. enabled since Fri 18 Jun 12:05:21 2010
printer mcx_7 is idle. enabled since Mon 21 Jun 08:33:10 2010
printer mcx_8 is idle. enabled since Thu 22 Apr 15:48:20 2010
printer mcx_9 now printing mcx_9-0. enabled since Wed 23 Jun 09:28:22 2010
Some machines have some 30 (!) queues...
I'm looking at removing the printers via a script,
Lpadmin -x mcx_0 works.. but how do script it so it deleted all the mcx queues instead of me writing 30 lines?
