Hello

I have been through numerous articles here but none of them are getting to the nub of my issue; my issue is a seemingly simple one: I want to completely disable the VNC service on my macs: no remote management, no screen sharing...nothing. If I can use JAMF to set this up as a configuration profile, even better.

Where this isn't so simple is I can find nothing - anywhere - that addresses this specific need. Am I a freak?

Please advise

Screen sharing is disabled by default on new machines. You can then lock down the sharing tab in System Preferences using a config profile and the restrictions payload.

Hello,

Disabling it via Restrictions just keeps them out of the Sharing Preference but won't do anything to turn the service off or on. How would you disable that service on endpoints that may have it enabled and keep it off so it can not be turned on?
