Creating a report for successful or unsuccessful package installations

You can see this in JSS very easily, in smart groups you can make a group has version X of software, and another has version Y, then as they install you will see one group go up and the other down.

The other thing you can do is in the policy tick in the top right, show is dashboard, then when you log in you will see straight away some info on how many machines have installed and you are one click away from a list of pending, completed or failed.

Well, some applications/etc install but don't have an inventoried version number. You may need to create extension attributes to capture those versions and create smart groups.
