I have been debating doing this on April Fools' Day, but ignoring that, and celebrating the 40th anniversary of Apple, here goes:

d3, the package deployment & patch management system for Casper, which I presented at JNUC 2012, is now available as an open-source project. Including PuppyTime.

To answer Rich Trouton's question after my presentation, 3.5 years later: Yes, it is open-sourced.

As of this writing it has never been used outside of Pixar, so I make no guarantees. But I've done my best and will help as much as possible if you decide to use it.

Happy April First!

Hi @jwojda,

Since d3 is all command-line based, screenshots of terminal windows are kind of boring :-)

But I did just add some more detailed output in the examples section of the welcome page

Does that help?

Cheers!
